The Project Productive Work for Youth and Women through SMEs Promotion in Ethiopia. also called in short YoWEP Project. aims to assist the GoE in its effort to create and increase employment opportunities for women and youth through the promotion of investment in the productive sectors of the economy, and the promotion of youth- and women-led entrepreneurship to address high levels of youth unemployment and to accelerate women's economic empowerment. The Project is primarily intended to contribute to job creation for youth and women to strengthen their economic empowerment by facilitating access to entrepreneurship training schemes, as well as facilitating access to the financial schemes for youth and women by partnering with financial institutions. The outreach to the final beneficiaries will be achieved by training financial and non-financial service providers at the meso-level to provide more quality services for youth and women entrepreneurs in Ethiopia to support the creation and growth of SMEs.
