Tshimologong Digital Innovation Precinct is a technology innovation and incubation hub which strives to develop digital skills for South Africa’s economy as well as for Africa, through various programmes and partnerships. Tshimologong Precinct forms a juncture between public and private sectors through our relationships with Gauteng Provincial Government, the city of Johannesburg, corporates and academia.

Founded by Wits University in 2016, it develops skills, encourages innovation and promotes the development of new enterprises through incubation programmes, workshops, masterclasses and hackathons. Tshimologong means, “in the beginning” in Setswana, one of South Africa’s 11 official languages.
