Savings Banks Foundation for International Cooperation (SBFIC) provides technical assistance to the finance sector in Myanmar. They are currently supporting 3 projects: - support an MFI with consultancy and a bit financial assistance. The MFI regularly provides training to their clients which are small businesses. (project funded by German government (BMZ)) - Green Finance in collaboration with WWF and MFPEA. SME in the food and beverage sector are informed how to make their production more environmental friendly and what are the requirements to apply for a loan. At the same time they train 4 local banks how to analyse payment capacity of an SME. As we address both: SMEs and Banks we hope to close the gap. (EU funded (SWITCH Asia) - SME Finance Training of a local bank in cash flow based lending so that the bank is enabled to disburse loans based on payment capacity of the SME and not on collateral (KfW project, BMZ funded)
