The Junior Achievement South Africa (JASA) Youth Enterprise Development Programme is a richly layered educational experience that takes passionate achievers from the ages of 18 to 35 and teaches them how to establish a sustainable business. Over the period of three to four months, students will be introduced to an array of entrepreneurial concepts that will inspire them and build their business confidence. Not only will students start a company in an incubator-style programme which offers facilitation and support, but they will be introduced to microfinance institutions as options for funding their business going forward. Students will also have different support resources, such as business mentorship, once they have completed the programme. The Youth Enterprise Development Programme ensures that students are not just given skills on paper; they are shown how to implement them and supported throughout. The programme is accredited by the Services SETA at NQF Level4.
