The Ghana Market Access programme has moved towards inclusive markets approach with markets advocacy programming as opposed to predominately livelihoods and advocacy interventions. We have now focused our work to three selected crops namely rice, Shea and vegetables. These have been selected based on an agreed upon criteria that we believe will best position small holder farmers to improve their livelihoods, studies we have conducted, our experiences within a range of crops, the expertise of our current partners. Each of the selected market systems are marketable, gender sensitive and scalable.
